			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<ul id="sommaire"></ul><p>Miriam Brickman, pianist, will give a special program &#8220;A Panorama of Galicia&#8221;, on Saturday May 5th, 2007, 3:00pm at The Liederkranz Foundation. Included in this program are composers from the old Austro-Hungarian empire, Galicia, what is now Poland, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and the Ukraine. Among the composers are piano Pieces by Mozart, Chopin, Bartok, and unusual pieces by Ligeti, Martinu, Kurtag, Laks, Tansman, Schulhof, Ullmann, Weinberg and Senator. The Liederkranz Foundation is located at 6 East 87th Street, (between Madison and Fifth Avenues), 2nd Floor, New York City.</p>
<p>Dr. Senator will give a brief account of the history of Galicia to complement the recital by Miriam Brickman. Ronald Senator is a Pulitzer-prize nominated composer and author of international standing. He has been a distinguished professor at the Universities of London and Europe and at the M.I.T.</p>
